Jessica is an attorney at Hopler, Hanna & Associates, where she focuses her practice on comprehensive business law matters. Her work centers on guiding companies through corporate formation, complex mergers and acquisitions, employment law, and strategic contract and policy drafting.
A proud “Double TarHeel,” Jessica earned both her undergraduate degree and her Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Though originally born in New York, she has called North Carolina home since kindergarten and considers herself a lifelong native of the state.
Before joining Hopler, Hanna & Associates, Jessica developed sharp litigation and advocacy skills as a criminal defense attorney, representing clients in state criminal defense matters across the state. She also possesses deep experience handling contract management and regulatory risk within a corporate setting.
Critically for her business clients, Jessica brings firsthand entrepreneurial insight to the table. Prior to practicing law, she co-owned and operated a business in the restaurant industry. This personal background as a business owner gives her invaluable, practical knowledge regarding the real-world operational challenges, compliance needs, and licensing hurdles her corporate clients face today.
When she is not advising businesses, Jessica loves exploring the vibrant culinary and cultural scenes across the Triangle and wider North Carolina with her husband and her son and enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.
